I had the same issue. Strange, I've never ever seen that before.
We have remote servers over slow connections and often times, I'll just hit ctrl+break to timeout whatever it is that I'm trying to do(open a view, close the log, go to next document in a log, look at the next tab in the database properties, etc).
So this time, I couldn't do anything (open a database). Even restarted Notes and deleted cache.ndk.
Luckily, I found this post and tried hitting CTRL+BREAK again, and it worked!!
